1969 Mustang Coupe
This is a California Black Plate car, with a current registration and clear, unsalvaged title. We are the second owner of the car, having bought it from the orginal owner's estate. Until last year, it had been garaged and driven a total of 3,000 miles since 1993.
All the paint on the rear half of the car is original, but very oxidized. We beleive the front half of the car (from the doors forward) was repainted once, at it still has some shine to it. The body is very straight and rust free. All the panels are original to the car, with no patching done anywhere. Floor pans, torque boxes, frame rails, inner fenders, trunk, EVERYTHING is free of rust and very straight. Some body work will need to be done before final paint is shot. There is small dent in right fender, one at both the front and back of the rear wheel well, a small dent in the right quarter panel next to the valance, and 2 small dents in the driver's door. No panels will need to be replace, and no welding required on this car, AT ALL!
The interior is in REMARKABLE shape, considering it is all original and almost 40 years old. The carpet is faded, but otherwise in good condition. There are tears in the driver's side seat on the side of the head rest and top outer corner of the seat. The plastic seat backs are very scratched. The headliner has a small tear in it, otherwise it would be perfect. The rear seat is near perfect, as is the console, front passenger seat and door panels. The original dash pad is cracked in the usual places next to the speaker grill.
The original 302 2v engine runs strong. It, and the C4 transmission are comletely stock, with the exception of JBA shorty headers, 2.5 inch aluminized, mandrel bent exhaust, Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers, and the flex fan. It has a new alternator, power steering pump, and battery. The engine does, however, have an oil leak (currently from unknown origin), and the engine bay is need of some serious detailing.
