I like your page alot! Your photos are great and your layout is well thought out!
I'm collecting parts to rebuild my own 66 coupe. This will be the first pre 90 Mustang that I've worked with. The 66 is for my wife. It's in about the same shape as the one you started with. I hope it turns out as well as yours has!!

Nice site. I have a 66 Convertible that is currently getting a 351W (Edelbrock Performer RPM cam, intake, Holley 750 4bbl carb) and a T-5 and it's always good to see a successful project on the net!

Jesus! John, you and your family are amazing! Six months? When can I bring my '66 up to you to have done?!
I'm picking mine up this weekend. It's in good condition compared to how you picked yours up. I hope I have half of the luck and outcome as you. Great job!

John - great site, great ride... In my personal opinion, 1966 was THE year. This could not possibly be because I am biased by the '66 Coupe I have been driving around the country for the last 30+ years.

Constantly restomoding my 65 conv. Have redone interior, added fluidyne alum. radiator, mallory unilite distributor, alum. water pump, 302 engine, K&N chrome filter. Plan on upgrading to fuel injection and 4 wheel disc brakes next. I too spend a lot of cash but at least the value of the car goes up not down!

You sure did a lot of work in a short period of time. I'd almost say it looks better than mine and I've been at it longer. Fact is mine's a daily driver and is needed every day, slowing down restoration.
Mustangs just are great. Have fun with yours.

I am purchasing a 66 mustang coupe this week. I am very excited. The engine is a 6 cylinder with a 3 speed transmission. The engine is rebuilt but the body and interior need work. Unlike you I have rust to contend with. I am impressed with what you did with your 66 Mustang. What kind of sound system do you have in it? Do you have AC? If so how did you install it? Daryl

John, very nice '66. After your hood delima I think I'll try a bolt-on scoop. All the luck on your next adventure with your Stang.
